This free online course or MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) on EU regions, institutions and policy-making attempts to fill this knowledge gap. It contributes to the capacity-building of regional and local authorities and is organised by the European Committee of the Regions - the EU’s assembly of regional and local representatives. More than 50 politicians and experts from other EU institutions, agencies, European associations and academic institutions will contribute to its production. During the eight-week course participants will focus on one specific theme each week and have the opportunity to evaluate their learning progress through a weekly quiz.
Content will be delivered in the form of educational videos, live web debates with experts, infographics, factsheets, and participants will be invited to interact via social media. Following the course will take about two hours per week.
The online course will take place from 19/10 to 11/12/2015
